Accommodation for all participants, judges, and VIPs will be automatically arranged once you have registered yourself via your National Organizer. However, guests and visitors are required to make their own arrangements and bookings (see next section).
The duration of stay for all registrants is four (4) days and three (3) nights, from Friday 9th to Monday 12th which is displayed in the following table.

In any case if you require more information, simply contact the National Organizer in your country (www.wroboto.org/member-countries).
Unfortunately, we regret that guests will have to make their own lodging arrangements this year. You're encouraged to arrange for rooms at the official hotels in order to stay close to your teams.
Alternatively, here is a list of hotels situated close by to the competition venue, not more than 10-15 minutes taxi ride away. Parents and guests do not need to register themselves via National Organizers or in any other way. These hotels communicate in English and their room rates are generally lower than the official hotels'. Another option is to engage in a travel agency in your country to make these arrangements.

There are two airports that you should book your flight(s) to, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). It is important to get into contact with your respective national organizers and coordinate your flight times for easy travel. To find your national organizer, click here .
GETTING THROUGH IMMIGRATION
Once you arrive at KLIA or LCCT, you will be greeted by our friendly Liason Officers. They will guide you from the airport to the venue every step of the way, so never fear!
It is recommended you attach your WRO 2012 Airport Tags on all your check-in luggages for smoother customs inspection. Where can you get these tags? Your national organizer should be able to help.
Please be aware that there is a list of prohibited items that you are not allowed to bring into Malaysia. These include weapons, illicit drugs, and certain food products. Please visit Royal Malaysian Customs Department for a full list of these prohibited items to ensure a smooth and easy immigration experience for your contingent.
TRANSPORTATION TO THE VENUE
All WRO 2012 entourages will be ferried to the venue by our designated WRO busses. In addition, each country will be assigned a lorry and/or truck to ferry large boxes, tools, and items used in the Open Category. Your Liason Officers will guide you to the right busses.
HOTEL CHECK-IN
Once you arrive at the hotel, proceed to the WRO Registration Counter (not the hotel check-in counter). Your Liason Officer will continue to guide you, or look for signages placed around the hotel. At the registration counter you will be given the keys to your rooms. Please follow the instructions given by our registration officers for a smooth check-in.
Some countries require a travelling visa to enter into Malaysia. Please refer to the table below. If you do require a visa, remember to contact the Malaysian embassy in your country well ahead of time. We recommend a timeframe of at least 1 month before your date of travel. You are responsible for the perfection of your own visa, so please do not overlook this!

All visitors from certain countries are required by our Health Ministry to get Yellow Fever vaccination. Yellow Fever is an acute infectious disease and is a major health threat in countries with Yellow Fever transmission. The agent is a virus of the Genus Flavivirus and Flaviviridae families, and the mode of transmission is through the bite of infective Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Incubation period is roughly between 3 to 6 days.
We would like to kindly remind countries who are vulnerable to Yellow Fever to get vaccinated before coming to Malaysia. Here're some information released by our Health Ministry:

If you hail from any of these countries, please get vaccinated for Yellow Fever before arriving in Malaysia, otherwise you may be quarantined unnecessarily at the airport!

Besides this, we encourage you to try out as many local delicacies as possible, since Malaysia is famous for its variety of Eastern, Western, and Fusion food. There are several restaurants available for your picking in the adjacent Sunway shopping centre so feel free to explore on your own when you have time! If you're practising Islam, there are plenty of Halal restaurants around. Simply look out for restaurants with the Halal sign or ask any friendly waiter or waitress if their restaurant is Halal certified.
There will be two permanent Help counters set up for the duration of the competition. The first is the registration counter where you first get your hotel keys from, and the second is the help counter inside the competition venue itself. Look out for the sign which reads "WRO Help Counter". You will be able to get all the necessary information such as directions, schedules, travel arrangements, and answers to general enquiries at these help counters.
